SOS
SOS began in 2005 as a DIY music and art collective between friends, united by a desire to change the music scene in Southern Oregon. The crew started small, playing locally, and quickly grew into a tight knit group of DJ's, playing shows and festivals up and down the west coast, always intent on creating a bigger and better scene. This evolved into organizing regular events and bringing major regional & international headliners to the area. SubGenetics was born as a result, a yearly festival bringing together the best of electronic music, up and coming musicans, and live art of all kinds. SOS also hosts a weekly online radio show where you can listen in from 9-11pm every Wednesday at www.rwd.fm.

C Markle bought his first turntables in 2005 and soon began DJing at outdoor parties in Southern Oregon. He started out playing breakcore and jungle, dubstep took over for a while, then he made the transition into future garage/bass music. In 2010 he began delving into production and formed a co-lab project with b1tcrunch3r, chach.face.killa and vocalist Ambur Rose called Sounds of Solidarity. Their track Grey Skies was released on Gradient Audio shortly after. In 2012 you can expect a second track from Sounds of Solidarity called Breaking Point to be released on Australian label Requiem Audio, as well as a remix of the same track from 3rdeye.
2010 was also the year C Markle joined with Shawn Hale and started the duo called Sponge Park. This was a turning point, putting aside the turn tables in favor of live beats and hardware. They soon refined their sound and reincarnated as Subterrain.
C Markle is also a founding member of SOS, a music and art collective from Southern Oregon. The turntables aren’t retired completely, he still regularly plays shows solo at most of the events with the SOS crew and has also run sound at the many shows and festivals that they have put on over the years. The diversity of musical influence and multiple projects that C Markle particpates in make for a unique sound that’s always changing and has allowed him to share the stage with artists ranging from 16 bit, Truth and Triage to Eprom, Illgates, Salva and Hxdb. His high energy and dedication always make for a great show.
SquidEye aka NakedSlice

Naked Slice, aka DJsquideye, got his start in the late 90's in New York spinning hardcore/gabber records at underground parties in warehouses, squats, abandoned buildings and outdoor all night park parties. Part of the Renegade Virus krew, he eventualy grew more practical to free tekno and jungle music.
This would lead him to lots of gigs between 1998-2005, all over New York and the east coast in many well known clubs including Avlalon, cbgbs, Shelter, 23 windows, Remote Lounge, Tonic, The Frying Pan, The Knitting Factory, The Pyramid and many, many more. All the time crafting his own unique sound with his live production, this would lead to the release of the k-ktus records vinyl release of "Naked Slice, Team Bring It". In '05 he set his course for the west coast after meeting the love of his life. This did not slow things down at all, as the demand for him to play shows remains high to this day, where he is an Otherworld party resident and hosts in collaboration with Chris The Junglist and the Primative Science krew a thursday night Dnb focused weekly party in oakland called Transit! Naked Slice first got to know the SOS Krew at the Automous Mutant Fest in 2005 and they've been linking up ever since.

SubTerrain

Coming from the forest of Merlin Oregon grows a sound combining the swagger of West Coast gangster rap merged with heavy bass and grimy melodies. Using all live hard wear and live loops merging from the world of all live improvation is SubTerrain. The group formed in the summer of 2010 in a wooden UFO in the forest of Merlin, Oregon. The group, made up by DJ Caleb Markle and producer Shawn Hale, has been pushing the limits of electronic music ever since. Never playing the same set or the same song twice gives each SubTerrain experience something new to encounter. Heavy Bass lines, gangster rap influenced melodies, and a mixing of specialized vocals from The Die Hard Family hailing from Baltimore Maryland gives this duo its original sound. “We love gangster rap and we love electronic music” , so the birth of SubTerrain was made.
HALE

Ahnique

Ahnique has been playing music her entire life and it's always been her greatest passion. She started with piano at the age of five and progressed as she grew older, learning to play Viola, Cello, Flute and Guitar in her teenage years. As her musical tastes matured and progressed she started experimenting on turntables. Drawn to drum and bass and ragga jungle beats, her style made her a natural additon to SOS in 2010. She sticks to her roots, playing all vinyl sets of mostly dubstep but still brings the variety of future bass, two-step and jungle. In addition to her DJ shows, you can stil find her regularly playing strings at shows around the Rouge Valley.
